Vianden (Luxembourgish: Veianen) is a canton in the north of Luxembourg. Its capital is Vianden.

History
On 1 January 2006, the communes of Bastendorf (in the Diekirch canton) and Fouhren were merged to form the commune of Tandel.
Geography
Vianden is the smallest canton of Luxembourgh, with an area of 78.5 km2 (30.3 sq mi), and a population (2017) of 5,162; it has a population density of 65.8 inhabitants/km².
The canton has the Diekirch canton to the south, southwest and west; and the Clervaux canton to the northwest. To the east, it borders with the Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm district (Rhineland-Palatinate state), Germany.
