Description: A bust of Queen Elizabeth I in Charter Walk, Haslemere Surrey, by the artist Malcolm Stathers. It was unveiled on 9 November 2001 by the Town Mayor, Michael F. Barnes. It commemorates the grant of a charter to the town by the queen on 24 May 1596. The bust was presented in memory of Margarette "Poppy" Rhodes.
