Plot summary
A young boy from New York City must confront apprehensions about his new life as his parents move West. He soon finds his fears that the region is populated by baseball-hating buffalo chasers are unfounded, and that he can indeed find room to sit among the cactuses. At the same time, a boy from Texas moving to New York learns that, contrary to what he has been told, the city is not populated by gangsters, does not have alligators in its sewers, and is not cold all year.
