Delaware County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. As of the 2020 census, the population was 17,488. The county seat is Manchester. The county takes its name after the U.S. state of Delaware.

The 2020 census recorded a population of 17,488 in the county, with a population density of 30.1958/sq mi (11.6587/km2). 97.75% of the population reported being of one race. 94.60% were non-Hispanic White, 0.70% were Black, 1.40% were Hispanic, 0.29% were Native American, 0.27% were Asian, 0.01% were Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander and 2.74% were some other race or more than one race. There were 8,100 housing units of which 7,141 were occupied.
