USA Today facts for kids
USA Today is a daily newspaper founded by Al Neuharth. It has the most readers of any daily newspaper in the United States. About 2.25 million copies are sold on a weekday. It comes second worldwide. The Times of India sells about 2.6 million copies on a weekday.
The paper was founded in 1982. It has a much more colorful markup than other national newspapers, like The New York Times or Wall Street Journal. Its use of graphics makes its content rather like a tabloid. It is a middle-ground, middle-class paper.
The paper became known for taking national polls before elections. It is connected, through its owners Gannet Company, to the tv show USA Today. It also has a significant news website.
