Torus facts for kids
A Torus is a shape from geometry that is obtained by rotating a circle in 3D space. To obtain a torus, the point around which the rotation occurs must be in a plane with the center of the circle. If the point of rotation lies outside the circle, the shape of the torus will have a hole, and the torus will be called ring torus.
