Sudden cardiac death facts for kids
Sudden cardiac death is a condition where a person dies because the heart fails to work. It is very common, about 80% of the people have other heart problems. In general three conditions are present:
- A problem with the heart
- Irregular heartbeat, known as Cardiac arrhythmia
- An external cause
In general, people become unconscious within one hour from the onset of symptoms.
