Secularization facts for kids
Secularization means religion gets less important in modern societies. As the society goes through modernization, all the religious values and institutions decline.
The 1960s saw a trend toward secularization in Western Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand. At the same time these things happened: economic prosperity, youth rebelling against the rules and conventions of society, women's liberation, radical theology, and radical politics.
