Sangul Utindaan facts for kids

A Sangul Utindaanː is a traditional spiritual custodian of the Sangul people in Northern Ghana. Some sources translate this position's name to mean the Sangul's "overlord" or "landlord".

In November 2017, the serving Utindaan is Wunikpel Mbaliye Jato. The descendants of the Utidaan are Gasetiib, a clan in the Tatale-Sangul District. This role is not the same as one with a similar name in the Saboba District of Northern Ghanabhggg, which has a different title and role.
