Sacred Heart University is a private, Roman Catholic university in Fairfield, Connecticut. The university has about 6,023 students. It was founded in 1963. The current president of the university is John J. Petillo.
Sports
The athletics teams of the university are called the Pioneers. They have 31 varsity teams, most of which compete in the Northeast Conference. The men's ice hockey team competes in Atlantic Hockey.
