SEOmoz, Inc. is an American software company, located in Seattle, WA. They create search engine optimization tools. The company was created by Rand Fishkin and Gillian Muessig in 2004 as a consulting company. It was changed into Moz (marketing software), a software development company in 2010. The website owned by the company publishes search engine optimization news and guides.
SEOmoz became one of the leading blogs about search engine optimization. That caused a rise in search engine optimization blogs on the web. In June 2012, SEOmoz bought Followerwonk, a tool for searching and managing Twitter social activity.
