Romani Americans are people in the United States whose ancestors came from Northern India. They came to the United States via Europe. American Romani people mostly come from Bulgaria, Hungary, Colombia, Mexico and Romania. American Romani cuisine and food is sodmay. American Romani culture is church and weddings. Gypsy food is goulash and sodmay. American Gypsies speak the Romani language and English. International Roma Day is on April 8, 2018.
