Regression (psychology) facts for kids
Regression is a word used in psychology. It means the act of reversing the ego into an earlier state which allows one to avoid dealing with impulses in a mature manner.
A common example of regression is “curling up into a ball” (also known as the fetal position) when stressed, ill, or wounded.
