Pluviometry facts for kids
Pluviometry is a field of meteorology concerned with the measurement of rainfall. The word comes from the Latin word pluvius which means rain, and the Greek word metron (μέτρον), meaning measure. The amount of rain can be measured in a rain gauge, or pluviometer.
