History
The Hadhad family began making chocolate in 1986 when Essam Hadhad opened a factory in Damascus. The Hadhad family's chocolate-making facilities in Syria were bombed, they lived as refugees in Lebanon for three years before moving to Antigonish, Nova Scotia, in 2016. Upon arriving in Canada, Essam's son Tareq opened a new chocolate company in Antigonish.
