Parathyroid hormone facts for kids
Parathyroid hormone is a hormone which is secreted by the parathyroid glands. These hormones release calcium into the blood to raise calcium levels, making bones stronger. Too little of these hormones can result in hypoparathyroidism and too much of it can lead to hyperparathyroidism.
