Ol Doinyo Lengai is a 2,960 metres (9,710 ft) volcano in the East African Rift in Tanzania. The name means Mountain of God in the Maasai language.
Ol Doinyo Lengai is the only volcano in the world that erupts a rock known as carbonatite. This is a rock which has greater than 50% of carbonate minerals.
