Mount Morris facts for kids
Mount Morris is a mountain in the far north of South Australia. It is about 1,251 metres (4,104 ft) high, and is the second-highest peak in South Australia after nearby Mount Woodroffe (1,435 m). Both are in the Musgrave Ranges, near the border with the Northern Territory. The rock is mostly made up of granite.
Mount Morris is located about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) west of the community of Amaṯa. It was given its name by the explorer William Gosse, who first saw it in July 1873.
