Lake Manasarovar facts for kids
Lake Manasarovar or Lake Manasa Sarovar (Standard Tibetan: མ་ཕམ་གཡུ་མཚོ།, Mapham Yutso; simplified Chinese: 玛旁雍错; traditional Chinese: 瑪旁雍錯) is a fresh-water lake. It is in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, 2,000 kilometres (1,242.7 mi) from Lhasa. Lake Manasarovar is the source of the Pakistani river Sindhu. Sindhu flows west to the Arabian Sea.
