Jessia Islam (Bengali: জেসিয়া ইসলাম; born 16 May 1997) is a Bangladeshi model, actress and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss World Bangladesh 2017 and represented Bangladesh at Miss World 2017 where she placed in the top 40.

Early life and education
Islam was born in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, on 16 May 1999, and was raised in Gendaria Thana. She is interested in fitness and martial arts. She works as a professional model and is a student of South Point School and College in Dhaka.
Career
Jessia began her career in modeling at the age of 16. She rose to prominence after winning the Miss World Bangladesh 2017 pageant and representing Bangladesh at Miss World 2017, where she placed in the top 40.
Pageantry
In 2017, Jessia Islam competed in the Miss Bangladesh 2017 competition. In the competition, Islam was crowned first runner-up. Five days after the competition, Jessia was crowned Miss Bangladesh 2017. Islam went on to represent Bangladesh at the Miss World 2017 competition. At Miss World, Islam was declared the winner of group six of the Head-to-Head Challenge, which allowed her to place in the Top 40. She was also the runner-up for the People's Choice Award.
Modeling
Islam has modeled for various brands, including Yellow (Beximco), PREALI, Cats Eye, Raw Nation, OPPO, Infinix, and Nippon Paint. She has also walked the runway at the Tresemme Bangladesh Fashion Week.
Acting
In 2022, Islam made her film debut in the movie "MR9: Do or Die". She has also acted in various short films. She likes Priyanka Chopra and Margot Robbie as artists.
Social activity
Jessia Islam is actively involved in social work and has collaborated with various NGOs, including Poriborton Kori. Islam serves as an inspiration for young women in Bangladesh, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and actively contribute to society. Jessia actively participate in dialogues like Child TB.
