Jacobsen syndrome facts for kids
Jacobsen syndrome (also known as 11q deletion syndrome) is a gene mutation caused by the deletion of certain genes on chromosome 11. The number of deleted genes can be anywhere from 5 million to 16 million pairs of DNA. The effects of Jacobsen include brain development issues, unique facial features, and often a bleeding disorder called the Paris-Trousseau syndrome.
