Insulin pump facts for kids
Insulin pumps are medical devices used to administering insulin for treatment of diabetes mellitus. These devices are an alternative to constant and daily injections of insulin via syringe or pen. An insulin pump is an alternative to multiple daily injections of insulin by insulin syringes or an insulin pen and allows for intensive insulin therapy when used in conjunction with blood glucose monitoring and carb counting.
