Description: Yearns Low The purpose of the stepped structure (which appears to be of recent construction) is uncertain. It stands on a Bronze Age bowl barrow - see http://www.magic.gov.uk/rsm/22567.pdf - with extensive views to Big Low and (in this direction) Ely Brow. The hollow in the centre is the result of 19th-century excavation. The barrow is unusual in Cheshire in displaying re-use during the Roman period. Wikidata has entry Q17643573 with data related to this item.
