Description: Mouth of the cannon at Wyoming Monument, on the NRHP since May 13, 2002. On U.S. Route 11, Wyoming Avenue and Susquehanna Street, Wyoming, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Commemorates a Revolutionary War battle where the "Americans" were pretty much wiped out by the British, "Indians" and Tories. Muzzle markings identify the weapon as a Civil War-era 6.4-inch (100 pounder) Parrott rifle.
