Description: This building in Marshfield, Wisconsin was completed in 1919 as Willard D. Purdy Junior High. It's an example of collegiate gothic architecture, designed by Childs and Smith. It's named for a WWI soldier from Marshfield who threw himself on a grenade to save his comrades. The building was later used as a technical school, and is now a retirement home.
