Description: Waterbeach Baptist Church. A barn-like brick structure typical of Victorian non-conformist churches. (Someone will tell me if there's a more accurate architectural term for this style.) Known as Spurgeon's Chapel, the Victorian Baptist preacher Charles Spurgeon preached here on a number of occasions. Originally the windows to the right and left of the doorway ran the whole height of the wall and were not bricked up in the middle. (Thanks to a site user for the extra information.)
