Description: Wakeman Cenotaph Tomb in Tewkesbury Abbey depicting a decaying cadaver in an open shroud covered in vermin, reputedly John Wakeman, last Abbott of Tewkesbury who died in 1549. There is some doubt whether this is Wakeman as the memento mori fashion and decorative style of the canopy is typical of the mid-15th century (ie. 100 years earlier)
