Description: A stream on a working farm in the Waitomo District area of New Zealand. While quite beautiful and placid-looking, the area also shows the negative effects of forestry- and agriculture-induced erosion. The banks are heavily undercut and prone to slipping, as the original trees and bush have long since been logged, the land cleared and turned into grazing pastures for sheep and other animals.
