Description: The Regulus was one of the first operational cruise missiles and was operational from 1955 to 1964. Jet powered and nuclear armed, it was launched from either ships or submarines. It is appropriately displayed on the submarine USS Growler, as part of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Pier 86, New York Harbor, NY. 6th March 2016.
