Description: Oil painting of the Stocks Market in central London. The statue at the centre is of King Charles II mounted on a horse trampling Oliver Cromwell. The dome and tower to the rear right are the Church St Stephen Walbrook. An engraving of this picture by Henry Fletcher was published in 1738. The market was dismantled in 1737 for the building of the Mansion House on the same site.
