Description: The Japanese Imperial crest (a sixteen-petalled chrysanthemum) visible on the neck of a presentation vase made by Namikawa Sosuke between 1890 and 1900. The cloisonné vase is one of a pair in the Khalili Collection of Japanese Art and was photographed on display in the Guimet Museum, Paris.
