Description: Valparaíso trolleybus No. 814 was built in early 1947 by the Pullman-Standard Company and was originally purchased for use in Santiago. Along with several other trolleybuses, it was transferred circa 1954 to the Valparaíso trolleybus system, owned by the same operating company, and it has remained in Valparaíso ever since. By 1992 it was the oldest trolleybus still fitted with its original, unmodified body remaining in normal passenger service anywhere in the world. It is pictured northbound on Avenida Argentina just south of Avenida Pedro Montt in 1996. Trolleybus 814 was repainted in a revised paint scheme in 2003 and is still in regular, daily service in Valparaíso in 2017. In the background are the hills surrounding the town and, closer, the Church of the 12 Apostles (Iglesia de los Doce Apóstoles) and a Pullman trolleybus that was rebuilt in the late 1980s with new side windows and a more square-shaped rear.
