This building was home to the Manhattan Hotel, and the Manhattan Restaurant. The location is also known as the Dalton Building. The Universal Boot Shop opened on the ground floor in 1921. The building underwent a substantial Art Nouveau renovation in 1930. Streicher Shoes operated here until 1944, when the Universal Boot Shop returned as the 5th Avenue Bootery, remaining until the 1980s.
