Description: A U.S. Navy training ship at Camp Peary, Virginia, circa 1945. A wooden mock-up of a destroyer escort was built in the fall and winter of 1944 at Camp Peary and used during the 16-week recruit training courses held at the Camp. It was nicknamed "Miss Never Sail" and still stood in 1946.
