Description: The Jafariya School (also transliterated Jaafariya, Jafariyya, or Jaafariyya) in Tyre/Sour, Southern Lebanon, overlooking the archaeological Al Mina / City site towards the Mediterranean Sea on the left. The school was founded in 1938 by the Shia Imam Sayed Abdul Hussein Sharafeddin al-Musawi. Construction was funded by Tyrians who had emigrated to West Africa.
