Description: Two-spotted lady beetles (Adalia bipunctata) mating. At first I disturbed the male and thought I had lost the chance to photograph them mating, but when I put him back on the plant he quickly found the female and resumed. As you can see there are also a lot of small insects on the plant, which they probably feed on. This was taken near the University of Auckland Tamaki campus, on the campus side of Merton road.
