Description: Tracyina rostrata is the only member of its genus. It is a rare plant known only from grassland in hill country in California's North Coast Ranges. It is small, inconspicuous and hard to spot so there may be populations that are not yet known, but it is threatened by introduced alien grasses that are taking over its habitat. It is seen here in flower on Magruder Ranch in Potter Valley in Mendocino County, on June 10th 2018, image 4I4A7878.
