Title: A Rooster Crows with the Hinomaru (flag of Japan) and a lady (1909, Meiji era). Note: rooster is less vulgar than cock. Kuchi-e artwork (frontispiece of a book). A Totenko rooster is a Japanese long-crower. It is similar to the German Phoenix, but has olive green legs and an open tail, unlike the slate legs and closed tail of the Phoenix.
