Description: A traditional method in East Timor of collecting juice to make palm wine. A small cut is made in the stem of the male flower and the sweet palm juice slowly drips into a container made from a section of bamboo. The juice is later fermented to varying strengths. The best, in my opinion, is drinking it at the end of the first day when it is still fizzing and not too strong yet.
