Description: This is a printed fifth edition book: "The Shipwreck, A Poem. By William Falconer, a Sailor." The epic poem describes the voyage of sailor WIlliam Falconer, the poet, from a port at Alexandria to Venice. The ship met a violent storm and crashed near Cape Colonne in Greece, after being veered off course during the storm. The first edition was originally published in 1762.
