Description: The lithograph of the Thomas Ayres "High Falls" drawing was the first published image of Yosemite Valley. James Hutchings had this lithograph created after he returned to San Francisco from his trip to Yosemite with Thomas Ayres. Britton & Rey of San Francisco printed the lithograph in October of 1855.
