Description: The grave site of Charles Trumbull Hayden (1825-1900). Hayden was the founder of the city of Tempe and the Arizona State University. He is the father of U.S. Senator Carl T. Hayden. Hayden is buried in Sec. B – 49. of the pioneer section of the cemetery which was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on July 30, 2013, reference #13000020
