Description: Bell Telephone Exchange Building on NRHP since March 20, 2002. At 8–12 North Preston Street in Powelton Village neighborhood of west Philadelphia, PA. Built about 1900, operated as a switchboard center until 1928, without automatic dialing (everything went thru the operator). Housed light industry thereafter.
