Wetmore The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas met here until 1891; the U.S. Circuit Court for the Eastern District of Texas met here from 1862 until 1891; the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas met here from 1917 until 1937. Now leased by the Government Services Administration to the Galveston Historical Foundation.
