Description: A coffle (otherwise known as a chain gang). A long procession of people, almost all black, are marching barefoot and chained together at their wrists. At the front are two fiddlers, a mounted rider, and another man. Two other men ride beside the procession, holding whips. One of the prisoners is holding a large American flag.
