Description: The official Rick Hansen statue at the front of Rogers Arena (formerly GM Place) in Vancouver, Canada. Rick Hansen is a famous Canadian athlete, paralympian and a member of the Order of Canada. Hansen began his "Man in Motion" tour in March 1985 and succesfully completed it in May 1987. He was also the inspiration for the number 1 US hit song 'St. Elmo's Fire' which was written by David Foster and sung by John Parr in Hansen's honour.
