Description: Monument to William the Conqueror at Falaise (Calvados, Basse-Normandie). The equestrian statue of the seventh Duke of Normandy, sculpted by Louis Rochet (1818-1873), was built in 1851. On the pedestal, statues representing the preceding six dukes were added in 1875.
