Description: Drafting yards at Mt. Abundance Station, ca. 1910 Mount Abuldance Station was settled in 1847 and is situated in the Roma area of Queensland. Allan MacPherson arrived in the area with 20 men, 8000 sheep and some cattle and established Mount Abundance Station on Muckadilla Creek. The area was first discovered by Thomas Mitchell, who named the twin peaks of the mountain Mount Abundance, because of the abundance of good pasture lands around it.
