Description: Harlaxton in Toowoomba, Queensland, ca. 1870. The original owner, Francis Thomas Gregory, bought the land in 1862 and built the property around 1870, and used an unusual red stone, laterite, quarried on site for his new house. The original section of the house is an L-shaped plan and is surrounded on two sides by a verandah (Information taken from EPA Heritage register, 2008, retrieved 29/04 /08 from www.epa.qld.gov.au/register).
