Description: The rood screen under the tower of St-Rumbold's Cathedral in Mechelen (Belgium) is in Gothic Revival style. It was added in 1854 according to the plans of architect Leo Suys, to place the organ at the back of the church. The organ itself was built in 1958 after designs by the organist Flor Peeters. It consists of 6606 organ pipes. The statues along the sides in the aisle are tose of the apostles by Lucas Faydherbe.
